Parking Housing Society is on a quest to find a Caterer/Kitchen Manager for Gordon Park Village in Kelowna (1319 KLO Rd).
Our 48 residents and guests will be served by the successful candidate who is a highly-motivated and organized cooking professional and a reliable team leader. Our Caterer/Kitchen Manager possesses a keen work ethic and effective communication skills and leads his/her own team to excellence in food preparation and service with outstanding hospitality. He or she provides high quality service while building meaningful relationships with residents and co-workers in our independent-living seniors’ environment. We encourage our Caterer/Kitchen Manager to be creative while producing Monday-Friday dinner meals that are described as "tasty, nutritious, from scratch, comfort food.” If you love seniors, are sensitive to the senior palette, have strong management skills to envision and lead the entire dining experience, we welcome you to contact us with any questions and to apply by submitting your covering letter with resume including your experience in the food-service industry to parkhousing@shaw.ca.
One hot dinner meal is served daily from 4:45pm – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. The Caterer/Kitchen Manager leads the full food services experience - menu creation, food sourcing & ordering, storage,preparation, serving, and clean-up together with any staff he/she hires. Park Housing Society provides a stainless steel commercial kitchen including walk-in freezer and fridge. Food Services budget is set by Park Housing Society and fully administered by the Caterer/Kitchen Manager. More information and a full Job Description can be found below.
